At the Silky Oaks Childcare Centre, our goal is to support the individual learning and development of each child through child-centred, play-based learning.
The Silky Oaks Childcare Centre operates independently as a community based centre under the umbrella of Silky Oaks Children’s Haven. We strive to ensure that solid and broad foundations are carefully sculptured by educators on a daily basis, supporting the individual learning and development of each child through child-centred, play-based learning.
Trusting and reciprocal relationships are built between children, parents/carers and educators, providing a platform from which a collaborative journey of support for families to reach their full potential, begins and is fostered.
Our services
The Childcare Centre provides programs for children aged from birth to five years. We provide long day care for a maximum of 57 children per day and operate a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten program. The centre offers large outdoor play areas, stable long term employees, high employee to child ratios, and individualised educational programs for all age groups.
The centre is located at our Manly campus and is open Monday to Friday 7am to 6pm.
